Are you a qualified Science Teacher driven to make a real difference in the lives of young people?

Do you thrive in environments where your resilience, creativity, and compassion can transform educational outcomes for students facing significant challenges?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a specialist vocational training centre in Sittingbourne, supporting students aged 14–18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The Role

We’re seeking a passionate and adaptable Science Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, up to GCSE level. You’ll be part of a nurturing team committed to helping students re-engage with education through personalised learning pathways, small class sizes (4–6 pupils), and a strong focus on vocational and academic development.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A calm, empathetic, and innovative teaching style
  • Experience in SEN/SEMH settings is desirable but not essential – the right mindset and motivation matter most

Why Join Us?

  • Make a tangible impact on students who need it most
  • Work in a setting with a clear ethos and strong safeguarding culture
  • Benefit from high staff-to-student ratios, personalised interventions, and collaborative support
  • Help students achieve functional skills and vocational qualifications that prepare them for life beyond school

About the Centre

Our provision supports students who have struggled in mainstream education due to complex needs, low self-esteem, and disrupted learning. We offer a multifaceted curriculum including vocational training, outdoor wellbeing interventions, and community projects – all underpinned by a nurturing, trauma-informed approach.
