About the RoleWe are currently recruiting for a Deputy Manager to join an Adult Social Care Day Centre service within the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, based in Hammersmith. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred support to vulnerable adults. The service supports individuals with Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Autism, and Challenging Behaviour, and plays a vital role in promoting independence, wellbeing, and meaningful daily activities.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Day Centre Manager in the day-to-day running of the service.
- Take full operational responsibility for Ashchurch Centre in the Manager’s absence.
- Ensure the safe and effective delivery of services with a strong focus on safeguarding and health & safety compliance.
- Lead by example as a hands-on Deputy Manager, supporting staff and ensuring high standards of care and service delivery.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external partners, including Social Workers and Supported Living providers.
- Develop and maintain targeted, engaging activity programmes with external providers to enhance outcomes for service users.
- Line manage a team of 5 Day Opportunity Support Workers, providing supervision, guidance, and ongoing support.
- Promote continuity and consistency through clear communication, staff development, and team engagement.

Essential Experience:- Experience working in Adult Social Care services, ideally within a Day Centre or similar setting.
- Experience supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Physical Disabilities, and/or Challenging Behaviour.
- Strong experience in partnership working with Social Workers, care providers, and other professionals.
- Ability to lead and support staff teams, ensuring safe and effective service delivery.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and health & safety practices.
Desirable Experience:- Experience with governance processes.
- Involvement in HR processes, recruitment, or staff management.
- Experience managing referrals or service access pathways.
