We have an exciting opportunity to join our Housing Standards Team. This role offers the chance to step into a management position and help guide the team's work as an essential part of our management structure.

The Housing Standards Team undertakes a diverse range of activities, all focused on ensuring that residents across our districts live in safe, well maintained homes that meet their needs. The team delivers a mix of reactive and proactive interventions. With new legislation creating opportunities to expand our work, this is an exciting time to help shape the team's processes and future direction.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the quality and output of a range of Housing Standards functions, including enforcement activity and independent living programmes. You will act as a senior enforcement officer and will have direct line management responsibility for team members. You will also represent the Council at relevant local and county‑wide groups and play a key role within the wider management team.

We're Looking For

We're seeking a proactive and well organised individual who is passionate about housing and making a difference to the lives of our residents. The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification/extensive experience of working in Housing Standards/Regulatory Services or a similar area.
