They're now looking for a Group Financial Controller to join the team. Someone fully qualified, analytical, and confident enough to take on core responsibilities from the Group CFO. You'll bring commercial insight, technical know-how, and a hands-on approach to leading the finance function day to day.

You'll be part of a finance team of nine, directly managing a Management Accountant. It's a tight-knit, loyal team, several with years of service under their belts and they're looking for someone steady, clear and competent to lead from the front.

What you'll be doing:

Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly and annual group accounts

Deliver insightful analysis and meaningful reporting to senior leadership

Ensure full compliance with UK GAAP and all relevant financial reporting standards

Oversee group-wide budgeting and forecasting

Ensure financial controls are strong, systems are running well, and audits are clean

Support payroll and step in to manage it directly if needed

Handle group cash flow and treasury operations

Take on core duties from the CFO and support strategic financial direction

Improve processes, reporting and system use across the group

Provide day-to-day leadership and development to the Management Accountant

What they're looking for:

Fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)

Ideally with a practice background, or a proven record of strong analytical finance in industry.

Excellent understanding of consolidations, compliance, planning and financial control

Analytical mindset sharp with data and confident making decisions

Experience with payroll, or the ability to step in when required

A calm, capable leader focused on consistency, quality and clarity

High levels of integrity and a real sense of ownership
