Continuous Improvement Manager

Vivo Talent is partnering with MD of well-established manufacturing brand in West Midlands.

We are looking for Continuous Improvement Lead who has hands on experience, has leadership qualities as successful CI manager. The appointed person will be expected to drive this initiative across the business, interfacing with colleagues across all departments so persuasion and credibility ranks high.

Person specification

* Candidate who has used number of lean tools and have managed a team with good knowledge or understanding of how the productivity benefits were measured such that they could be reconciled to the profit and loss account.

* MD would like to appoint CI Lead who wants to spend time with operators on the shopfloor, is enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate about lean methodologies and can energise those around him/her to play their part and be actively engaged.

* Continuous Improvement lead needs to be able to understand and articulate how they benefited the business financially. Successful CI Lead will be able to articulate their achievements and their value and be able to demonstrate how they can transform the operational performance of the business.

* This post would suit someone who has roadway ahead of them to move into a factory manager or senior leadership position.

Knowledge & Experience:

1. Good experience of applying lean methodologies in a manufacturing (high volume) environment

2. Proactively Initiates in building decks of lean projects

3. Experience of leading teams and delivering results

4. Clear understanding of how to measure productivity benefits and to track this through to financial results

5. Training with a minimum green belt

The successful individual would have used lean tools in a full-time role. This post would not be suited for specialists with awareness of CI or using it from time to time in their day job, it will be someone with passion for the subject matter.
