We're looking for a Tax Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. This role offers a salary of £77,000 - £90,000 depending on experience and is a remote position with occasional travel to London.What you will be doing;
- Representing ICAEW and its members on a number of strategic HMRC forums and working with various ICAEW committees to ensure that the views and experience of ICAEW members in practice are conveyed.
- Owning relationships with HMRC include those relating to Making Tax Digital, HMRC's Digital Transformation Roadmap and HMRC's digital services for agents.
- Providing secretariat support to the Practitioner Tax Committee and general support to ICAEW Practice Committee and the Small Practitioners community
- Working with other ICAEW teams on cross cutting matters. This includes being a media spokesperson on relevant topics.
- Working with other professional bodies and other third parties on issues of mutual interest.
What you will need;
- Strong understanding of UK tax legislation
- Professionally qualified (Chartered Accountant or Tax Advisor)
- Confident and clear communicator
- Broad, generalist tax knowledge (not overly specialised in areas such as operational tax or private client only)
- Experience influencing or engaging with external bodies or regulators
- Ability to evaluate and communicate changes to processes and make positive suggestions for improvements
