Engineering Supervisor

Walker Cole International is partnering with an innovative UK pharmaceutical manufacturer to appoint an Engineering Supervisor. This role will support production areas by driving equipment performance, reliability, and continuous improvement across the manufacturing operation.

Key responsibilities:

• Act as the technical lead for your assigned production area, taking ownership of equipment reliability and driving targeted improvement initiatives
• Develop, implement, and continuously refine maintenance strategies, programs, and SOPs, optimising equipment availability and overall efficiency
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external service providers, including managing ongoing supplier performance to ensure quality and reliability standards are met
• Lead detailed root cause investigations, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions to address failures and prevent recurrence
• Collaborate with Maintenance & Reliability, Operations, and Quality teams, coordinating efforts and influencing technical support to achieve operational goals

Skills and experience:

• Completed engineering apprenticeship, with further technical education (HNC/HND or higher preferred)
• Experience applying continuous improvement tools and methodologies in a manufacturing environment
• Naturally curious and analytical, motivated to understand root causes and implement preventative, long-term solutions
