Are you an experienced Payroll Analyst with strong iTrent knowledge, looking for your next short-term assignment? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where accuracy and attention to detail are key?

We are looking for a confident and analytical payroll professional to support our payroll function on a 2–3 month fixed-term contract, with the possibility to extend further if needed. This is a great opportunity to make an immediate impact within a busy payroll team.

Please note: This role requires proven experience using iTrent. Applications without iTrent experience will not be considered.

What you’ll do as Payroll Analyst

You’ll play a key role in supporting end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. Responsibilities will include:

• Processing payroll data using iTrent, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Reviewing and validating payroll inputs including starters, leavers, changes, and absences
• Identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies and anomalies
• Supporting payroll reconciliations and reporting
• Assisting with statutory payments and deductions (SSP, SMP, tax, NI, pensions)
• Handling payroll queries from employees and stakeholders
• Supporting month-end and year-end payroll activities where required
• Ensuring compliance with UK payroll legislation and internal controls

What you’ll need to succeed

• Proven experience working in a UK payroll function (essential)
• Hands-on experience using iTrent payroll system (essential)
• Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively in a short-term assignment
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement
