TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school in Bury that is seeking a qualified English Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis, with the potential for a permanent role for the right candidate.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an English specialist who is passionate about language, literature, and inspiring students to develop strong reading, writing, and communication skills.

The role will involve:

Teaching English across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE preparation

Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons

Assessing, tracking, and supporting pupil progress

Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Working collaboratively within the English department

We are looking for a teacher who:

Holds UK QTS (essential)

Has experience teaching English in a UK secondary school

Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills

Is enthusiastic, reflective, and committed to pupil progress

Is available for full-time work
