Conveyancer / Senior Conveyancer

Location: Wirral

Salary: £34,000–£44,000 (DOE)

Hours: 9 am–5 pm, Monday–Friday (WFH available by arrangement)

Holiday: 4 weeks + bank holidays + additional Christmas closure

A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Conveyancer or Senior Conveyancer to join their busy Residential Property team. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of your own caseload, work within a supportive team structure, and progress your career within a stable and well-regarded practice.

The Role

You will handle a full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion, working with a range of transactions including Freehold, Leasehold, New Build, Shared Ownership, Help to Buy and Lease Extensions. Depending on the level, you will also supervise junior team members and support the achievement of team targets.

Key Responsibilities

Conveyancer Level

  • Manage residential conveyancing files from start to finish
  • Work under the supervision of a Senior Conveyancer
  • Handle a variety of transactions, including Freehold, Leasehold, New Build and Shared Ownership
  • Sign off on files for exchange and completion
  • Support financial targets and assist in developing the Conveyancing Assistant
  • Take responsibility for the team in the Senior Conveyancer’s absence
  • Work in line with professional codes of conduct

Senior Conveyancer Level

  • Extensive experience across all Conveyancer-level duties
  • Lead a team of three, supervising a Conveyancer and a Conveyancing Assistant
  • Allocate work and oversee all files opened under your name
  • Drive completions and ensure annual financial targets are met
  • Support the development and progression of junior team members
  • Contribute to business development and identify training needs

About You

  • Strong experience in residential conveyancing
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Confident, proactive and able to support junior colleagues
  • High attention to detail and commitment to client care
