Alexander James Recruiting is working with a well-established dealer of forklift trucks looking to bring on a new Service Controller to oversee their service function out of their depot in Kent. With a competitive basic salary and a good overall package, this is a great opportunity for an experienced service controller or an engineer looking to get into something new with a growing company.

Responsibilities

Managing the field service engineers and their schedules
Overseeing all service/ breakdowns and preparing weekly reports
Visiting customer sites and managing their service requirements
Monitoring costs and revenue across the service department
Working alongside the Engineering Manager and Operations Manager to ensure service levels are optimal
Requirements

The company have a preference for candidates with experience working in a service controller/coordinator role in the past within the forklift industry. This isn't essential however, they would also consider applicants working in a similar role in a closely related industry sch as Commercial Vehicles or Plant Hire. It may also be a good opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to move from the tools. In terms of location, you will ideally be based within a commutable distance of Maidstone, Kent.
