Are you looking to join a dynamic and dedicated Day Warehouse Team as a Quality Assurance Operative? Watts Farms is a family run farming business and we are looking for a motivated and experienced individual to join us.

Working hours are 06:30 - 16:30 on a rota basis, working 5 shifts out of 7.

You will be working on a full time, permanent basis and in return will receive a competitive salary of up to £28,569.67 per annum!

To be successful for this position you will have previous experience working within a busy warehouse environment as well as a keen eye for detail and meticulous work ethic.

What you will be doing.

  • Monitoring food safety - inclusive of: (but not limited to)
    • Condition and use of PPE
    • Goods traceability
    • Stock rotation
    • Housekeeping
    • Temperature checks
  • Personal safety and the safety of others - affected by:
    • Goods reciept
    • Storage
    • Despatch activity
  • Plant and equipment use
    • Compactors
    • FLT's, CB and other MHE

Watts Farms is a third-generation family-run farming business, established in 1952. Growers, Packers, and Distributors of fresh produce supplying the hospitability industry across Kent, London, and surrounding areas. We also provide Home Deliveries offering freshly picked fruit and vegetables from our own farms as well as a full range of grocery, dairy, alcohol, and pantry goods. We pride ourselves on quality!

Who we are looking for.

  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment is essential.
  • Ability to motivate and create a positive working environment.
  • Strong numeracy skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with various stakeholders.
  • Effective prioritisation and workload management abilities.
  • Continuous improvement mindset to enhance processes and the work environment.
  • Capacity to remain calm and efficient under pressure.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness to meet the demands of the role, including lifting and prolonged standing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook & Excel.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
