SEN Teaching Assistant - Bristol

We are looking for caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming and supportive special school in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with children and young people aged 3-19 with complex needs, including severe and profound learning difficulties, Autism Spectrum Condition, and challenging behaviours. You will play a key role in helping pupils engage with learning, build independence, and develop confidence.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
• Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning plans
• Use positive behaviour management strategies
• Support pupils with personal care and physical needs when required
• Encourage academic, social, and emotional development

Requirements:

• Experience supporting children with SEN or in a care/education setting desirable
• Calm, confident, and resilient approach
• Commitment to inclusion and supporting pupils with additional needs
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
• Relevant qualifications in SEN/childcare (desirable but not essential)

• Permanent roles, term-time only (39 weeks)
• 30 or 32.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday
• £90-£95 per day (salary dependent on experience and continuous service)
