Responsible for the efficient operation of the snack bar, which includes equipment maintenance and repair, supervision of staff, cleanliness of the snack bar and adjoining areas and compliance with all cash handling, sanitation, fire and safety regulations. Ensures the proper receipt and storage of requisitioned items and enforces established internal controls to prevent pilferage in the facility. Promptly reports shortages to the supervisor and assists in investigations. Maintains adequate stock levels, requisitions merchandise in accordance with policies and performs periodic inventories. Supervises and coordinates the preparations and sale of food and beverage items, ensuring proper preparation, portion and quality control, and the display and pricing of food items. Personally observes snack bar operations to ensure courteous and efficient service to the customer. May be required to prepare and cook customer orders, ensuring proper portion control and presentation to cover staff shortages. May operate a cash register, ring sales and provide corrrect change to the customer. At end of shift, completes the Daily Activity Report (DAR), ensures all cash handling/reporting/securing requirements are met, verifies the amount of money collected and drops the cashier bag into the drop safe. Performs other related duties as assigned.
