1:1 Teaching Assistant (SEN Support) - Darwen (BB3)

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs at a high-achieving primary school in Darwen (BB3).

• Location: Darwen, Lancashire (Postcode: BB3)

• Start Date: Monday, 23rd February 2026

• Contract: Full-time, until the end of the academic year (July 2026)

• Hours: 8:45 am - 3:30 pm (Monday to Friday)

• Salary: £85 - £100 per day (linked to experience)

• Work 1:1 with a specific pupil, providing tailored support to meet their social, emotional, and academic goals.

• Implement strategies outlined in the pupil's Individual Education Plan (IEP).

• Assist the Class Teacher in managing classroom behavior and fostering an inclusive environment.

• Provide regular feedback to the SENCo regarding the pupil's progress and engagement.

• Experience: Proven experience supporting children with SEN (Autism, ADHD, or SEMH) is highly desirable.

• Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 TA qualification (or equivalent experience).

• DBS: A child-only enhanced DBS on the Update Service is essential (or willingness to apply for one).

• Reliability: A commitment to the pupil until the end of the summer term to ensure continuity of care.
