Market 36 are recruiting for a Forklift Truck Driver / Warehouse Assistant to join a busy and dynamic team based in Earls Colne. This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work required depending on business needs. Where possible, a weekday off in lieu is provided when Saturday work is required, and overtime will be paid.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual who holds a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence and ideally has additional Reach/Flexi/Bendi truck experience, although this is not essential. The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, and should be willing to undertake a variety of warehouse duties alongside forklift operation.

Job Title: Forklift Truck Driver / Warehouse Assistant

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:30 (Saturdays required on a rota basis depending on business needs)

Salary: £26,000 - £27,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

* Safely operate forklifts in a busy warehouse and yard environment

* Daily checks of forklift equipment and reporting any faults

* Unloading deliveries and safely relocating goods within the warehouse

* Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch

* Stock replenishment and inventory checks

* Stacking goods onto pallets and racking with care and accuracy

* Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment

* Liaise with warehouse team members and fulfilment managers

* General warehouse duties including housekeeping, stock checks, and assisting colleagues

Person Specification:

Essential:

* Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence

* Proven experience operating forklifts

* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

* Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling duties

* Good organisational and time management skills

Desirable:

* Additional licences such as Flexi, Reach, Bendi, or Pivot

* Previous warehouse experience including stock management and order fulfilment

* Awareness of warehouse health and safety procedures

* Computer literate
