Job Title: Independent Prescribing Pharmacist (Permanent)
Location: GP Surgery – Wiltshire
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time or Part-time
Schedule: 2 days on site (required), remote working available for additional days
Start Date: Flexible – Late August, September, or October start
Salary: £53,000 – £60,000 per annum (depending on experience and specialism)

What You’ll Be Doing:

Join a forward-thinking GP surgery as an Independent Prescribing Pharmacist and take a lead in delivering high-quality patient care. In this role, you will:

  • Conduct structured medication reviews and manage acute prescribing

  • Work with two experienced pharmacy technicians as part of a collaborative team

  • Lead on CQC preparation and contribute to practice policy development

  • Support patients with long-term conditions, including specialisms like hypertension or polypharmacy

  • Utilise remote systems (including soft phone and full IT kit) to deliver care efficiently when working from home

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Independent Prescribing qualification (required)

  • Completion or current enrolment on the CPPE Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway

  • Strong clinical background with demonstrated specialism or enhanced GP experience

  • System One experience (desirable)

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • A patient-focused, flexible approach to healthcare delivery

Working Hours & Flexibility:
  • Surgery open from 7am – flexible working hours to suit personal commitments (e.g., school drop-offs)

  • Options available: 4 long days, 5 shorter days (e.g., 35–37.5 hours weekly)

  • Full-time or part-time applicants welcomed
