About Our Client:

Our client is a leading engineering company with a small yet dynamic shipping department. They specialise in import and export logistics and are dedicated to providing exceptional service to their clients. With a strong commitment to compliance, they ensure all declarations are accurately prepared and submitted. They are looking for a detail-oriented and organised Import/Export Logistics Coordinator to join their team and contribute to their continued success.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage import and export logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods
  • Prepare and submit customs declarations and documentation
  • Work closely with carriers, agents, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient transportation and communication
  • Monitor shipping schedules and resolve any issues or delays
  • Track shipments and maintain accurate records
  • Liaise with suppliers and customers to provide updates on shipment status
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any shipping-related issues
  • Ensure compliance with all customs regulations and international trade laws
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of import and export regulations and industry best practises
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement process improvements

Essential (Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience):

  • Previous experience in import/export logistics coordination or a related role
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations and international shipping requirements
  • Proven ability to prepare and submit customs declarations
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and logistics software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
