Commercial Estimator

Location: South Oxfordshire
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

Hours: Standard Day Shift

Shorterm Group are recruiting for a Commercial Estimator to join an established and growing engineering company based in South Oxfordshire.

Responsibilities:

- Produce optimum methods and cost estimates from engineering drawings or digitally provided data

- Project manage new business opportunities, generating project plans and required documentation

- Prepare clear and concise quotations and submit them to customers

- Negotiate raw material costs, manage purchasing requirements, liaise with suppliers, and source new suppliers for subcontract/outwork processes

Key Skills & Experience:

- Background in Mechanical Engineering

- Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings

- Good level of IT literacy

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Understanding of Lean manufacturing techniques (advantageous)
