Job Description - HGV/ADR Driver

Job Title: LGV Driver
Location: Cambridge
Contract: Ongoing Temporary
Hours: 48 hours per week (with overtime available)
Pay: £16.82 per hour + overtime

The Role

We are looking for a qualified LGV Driver with ADR experience to join our team at Air Liquide UK Ltd / Energas in Cambridge. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a market leader, delivering outstanding service to customers. In this role, you will be responsible for safe and efficient multi-drop deliveries, while ensuring compliance with company safety standards and ADR regulations.

Key Responsibilities

* Ensure load security and compliance with the Company's 12 Life Saving Rules.

* Carry out multi-drop deliveries to customers, depots, and departments efficiently and professionally.

* Follow all Safety, Health & Environment policies, prioritising the safety of staff, customers, and the public.

* Operate in line with ADR regulations, including daily checks on vehicles and equipment.

* Complete all required documentation accurately (advice notes, load sheets, tachographs, fuel mileage, daily check sheets).

* Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of vehicles, including statutory and company-required daily checks.

* Report any vehicle defects, accidents, incidents, or traffic violations promptly.

* Participate in company-provided training (e.g. manual handling of cylinders and packaged gases).

* Handle payments securely for Cash Sale deliveries when required.

Required Qualifications & Competencies

* LGV C (HGV 2) Licence (minimum).

* Full, clean driving licence.

* Driver CPC Card.

* ADR licence with Core, Packages, and UN Class 2.

* Forklift Truck (FLT) licence - desirable.

* Experience in multi-drop deliveries with good local/regional knowledge.

* Good literacy and numeracy skills.

* Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and a flexible approach to overtime.

* Strong customer service skills with a professional, “can-do” attitude.

* Willingness to undergo a Company Medical and disclose any unspent convictions.
