SEN Teaching Assistants for LFD Assessment training- Swiss Cottage
We are working with an Outstanding special school based in the Swiss Cottage region who are now looking to expand their teams across EYFS, Primary and Secondary years to include some capable and experienced SEN specialist Teaching Assistants.
In the past year the school has recieved 100% good feedback from all staff members who have worked there whether for a days cover or longer term roles.
They are now looking for individuals with experience working with students with Autism, PMLD, Speech and language difficulties and other complex needs and who preferably have a medical background (i.e. have worked in care homes, support roles or have experience administering medication and assesments in other professional settings) as you will be trained to admister the new Lateral Flow Device (LFD) assesments.
You will be working alongside a supportive team in class sizes of 6-9 students with varying abilities, however most students are high functioning in capabilities. You will be working with 2 other LSA's and a class teacher to provide learning support for students with an EHCP statement of Special Educational Needs. Prior experience working with Autism, Downs Syndrome, ADHD and other complex needs is desireable.
This role would begin ASAP and continue until the end of the academic year with the possibility of this being exended for a further academic year.
The ideal candidate must:
-Have experience working with SEN
-Have a current enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
-Have some medical experience (i.e. have administered medication/health assesments previously)
-Be willing to carry out the LFD assessments once fully trained
-Have a passion for education
-Be available full-time
