A government body is seeking an experienced Operations Manager – Repairs to be responsible for the delivery & continuous improvement of council repairs service.
Based in the Swindon area, supporting operational teams and front-line operatives on site 4 days per week. This is a contract role for initially 24 weeks from approximately 15th September and paying £53.95 per hour, less deductions for insurance, taxes and umbrella company charges (PAYE £40.04 per hour). The closing date is Monday 8 th September.
Duties will include:

Manage large scale repairs across housing & corporate assets, ensuring compliance with standards

Oversee staffing, budgets c£10m, and equipment to deliver efficient service

Lead procurement and management of maintenance contracts

Demonstrate strong knowledge of building construction, property maintenance, and housing standards

Proven track record of leading operational teams and managing high-value budgets in a housing or local authority setting
To be suitable for this role you must have experience working in similar Operations Manager role responsible for repairs in a local government organisation.
