Commercial Manager / Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a leading specialist in drainage, utility services, and civil engineering infrastructure projects, is seeking a Commercial Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is a hands-on role where you will oversee project costs, contracts, and commercial risks, while mentoring a small commercial team and supporting projects on-site.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage project budgets from estimates to final accounts

* Lead contract negotiation, procurement, and subcontract management

* Monitor and mitigate commercial and contractual risks

* Provide commercial guidance to project teams

* Mentor and develop junior commercial staff

* Visit project sites every 2-3 weeks - travel and accommodation covered

Skills and Experience

* Proven experience in cost management, contract administration, and risk mitigation

* Leadership experience with the ability to mentor a team

* Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-standard cost/estimating software

* Knowledge of civil engineering, drainage, utility services, or infrastructure projects
