Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Primary School (Wandsworth)
Start Date: ASAP/January
Contract: Full-time, Long-term contract (potential to become permanent)

Salary: £110 to £130 a day (Depending on experience)

Academics are currently working with a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in the Wandsworth area is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children's learning and contributing to their academic progress.

About the Role:
As the HLTA, you will play a key role in raising attainment across the school by:

• Leading small group sessions to reinforce learning and boost confidence
• Delivering targeted Maths and English interventions
• Supporting pupils with their classwork, ensuring they fully understand tasks and can engage positively in lessons
• Working closely with teachers to help plan and deliver high-quality support
• Assisting with assessment and tracking pupils' progress

About You:
The school is looking for an HLTA who:

• Has proven experience in a primary school setting as a higher level teaching assistant
• Is confident delivering academic interventions, particularly in Maths and English
• Can build strong, supportive relationships with pupils
• Is proactive, organised, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Holds HLTA status or has equivalent experience
