HVAC Service Engineer
Location: Birmingham & Midlands (Field-Based)
Salary: £40,000 - £52,000 (DOE) + Overtime & Call-Out (OTE £50k+)

A well-established building services and facilities management contractor is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Engineer to join their expanding Midlands team. You'll be working across a varied portfolio of commercial and industrial sites, delivering high-quality service, maintenance, and fault-finding support.

The Role

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works across HVAC systems
Diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration faults
Servicing and maintaining:
Split and multi-split systems
VRV / VRF systems
AHUs, FCUs, and ventilation systems
Heat pumps and chillers (where applicable)
Performing leak detection, pressure testing, evacuation, and refrigerant charging
Completing service reports and F-Gas compliance documentation
Liaising with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery
Working in line with F-Gas regulations and Health & Safety standards
Participating in an on-call rota (typically 1 in 6 to 1 in 8)

Requirements

Essential:

Minimum 3 years' experience as an HVAC / AC Service Engineer
F-Gas Category 1 certification
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Solid understanding of HVAC electrical and mechanical systems
Full UK driving licence
Ability to work independently across multiple sitesDesirable:

NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
Experience with chillers, heat pumps, or ventilation systems
18th Edition (BS7671)
IPAF / PASMA
