About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our team and help drive high standards across our growing national project portfolio. This is a unique, people-facing role focused on managing and supporting our team of Health & Safety Consultants working on sites across the UK — ensuring compliance, consistency, and outstanding service delivery.
You'll report directly to the Head of Health & Safety and play a vital role in mentoring consultants, supporting client relationships, overseeing our digital safety platform, and ensuring CDM and H&S legislation is upheld across the business.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Consultant Oversight & Team Support

Lead, support, and upskill a network of H&S Consultants across live sites
*
Carry out monthly spot checks and provide coaching where needed
*
Be the go-to contact for field-based consultants, offering guidance and problem-solving on the fly
🔹 Compliance & Systems Management
*
Oversee data entry and compliance on the client's online platform (e.g. Bolt)
*
Ensure timely uploads of safety documentation, KPIs, and project reports
*
Liaise with clients to ensure the system remains integrated and up-to-date
🔹 Project & Client Interface
*
Conduct site visits and representative at meetings and inspections
*
Provide guidance and support on Principal Contractor and Principal Designer responsibilities
*
Attend pre-start and design meetings to advise on risks, documentation, and H&S planning
🔹 Admin & Coordination
*
Share responsibility for H&S admin (e.g., onboarding, reporting, expenses) alongside internal team members
*
Help maintain and improve internal processes and documentation
Who We're Looking For
*
NEBOSH-qualified, ideally with Construction Certificate
*
Minimum 3 years' experience in H&S, ideally in a multi-site role
*
Strong understanding of CDM 2015 regulations
*
Able to travel nationally (occasional EU travel possible)
*
Commercially aware, confident with clients, and not afraid to roll up your sleeves
*
A team player with great interpersonal skills - personable, adaptable, and ready to get stuck in
Desirable (but not essential)
*
IOSH membership
*
Principal Designer or CDM Coordinator training
*
Experience using platforms like Bolt or similar H&S management systems
