An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Manager to join a new care provider of Supported Living & Step-Down Care for adults with learning disabilities and mental health issues within their Blackpool services.
As Registered Manager you will be responsible for the operational day-to-day management of the service ensuring continued compliance with relevant legislation.
Working in partnership with colleagues in the senior management team you will ensure the provision of a high-quality service enabling individual needs and organisational priorities to be met in accordance with available resources.

To maintain a high-quality service working in partnership with colleagues to manage services
To ensure the service meets, and indeed exceeds, the requirements of the Health & Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and the Care Quality Commission guidance ‘Essential Standards of Quality & Safety’
To ensure the delivery of safe, personalised services to each individual service user through assessment, person centred planning and regular outcome focussed reviews of services
To ensure compliance with our Care’s Development & Training and Supervision Policies.


Leadership with your team in the daily tasks that will be required within the service
Responsibility to manage the service in accordance with standards agreed
Maintain accurate reports and staff development
Work alongside your team in offering constant support and guidance
Assessments on clients
Recruitment of staff
Follow the set policies & procedures
Understand the health & safety procedures
Inspection control
Make sure that compliance is in place
Be responsible for CQC inspections
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health & Social Care
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a health and social care setting with one or more of the client groups supported.

At least 2 years relevant experience in an operational management capacity in a health and social care setting
Experience of working in/managing a domiciliary service
Experience of managing an effective team
A knowledge and understanding of the current legal responsibilities and standards of the service, including the need for the management and delivery of person-centred services
Excellent communication skills, Leadership qualities, Organisational skills
Ability to prioritise work, Ability to deal effectively with crises/emergencies
Ability to effectively manage the performance of others
Ability to motivate others to meet deadlines
Ability to recognise and develop additional opportunities for the service and the people using it
Ability to develop and promote positive working relationships with individual service users, their family and professional colleagues
Ability to cope under pressure
A positive attitude to change

Full driving licence with use of own vehicle is essential
This role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure from the CRB Ability to provide advice and guidance outside of normal office hours as required
