Day-to-day of the role: - Plan, prepare, and deliver individualised lessons that cater to the specific needs of each student.
- Assess and record students' progress and provide feedback to help them advance their skills.
- Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and specialists to develop support plans that enhance students' educational experiences.
- Implement and adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel respected and valued.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay informed about the latest educational strategies and resources for teaching students with special needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working as an SEN Teacher or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of the strategies needed to manage and support children with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create and maintain a compassionate and supportive learning environment.
- Patience, resilience, and dedication to student development and well-being.
