Our client is seeking a detail-orientated and strategic Management Accountant to join their finance team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in providing financial insights that drive business decisions and support the financial goals of the organisation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations and technology divisions, to ensure financial accuracy and to enhance the Group’s overall performance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of monthly financial data through meticulous review and analysis.
- Calculate the Technology division’s Work In Progress (WIP), accrued income, and deferred income on a monthly basis for the Group.
- Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of group monthly accounts, preparing financial reports in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain forecasts of divisional financial performance, providing insights into expected outcomes and variances.
- Identify financial trends and variances, collaborating with operational teams to recommend strategies for performance improvement.
- Prepare and produce accurate management reports, focusing on sales analysis, margins, and other KPIs essential for decision-making.
- Actively seek opportunities to enhance current systems, processes, and financial models, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in reporting and analysis.
Skills Required:
- Proficient in analysing and interpreting complex financial data to provide actionable insights.
- Strong capabilities in building and maintaining robust financial models to support business cases and forecasts.
- Experience in creating accurate and reliable financial forecasts based on historical data and market trends.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools, specifically Sage 200 and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing financial challenges.
Skills Preferred:
- Accountancy Qualification: A relevant professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) is preferred, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in financial practices.
