Supply Chain Manager

Rochdale

Permanent position

Report directly to: Commercial Director Professional

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

Salary up to £55,000 pa. (DOE)

We have an exciting opportunity available, for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead the purchasing and distribution of finished goods, for a well-established global technology company. Providing efficient supply and required service levels, and managing the professional demand planner and CIC team, supervising the internal processes and systems.

Role and responsibilities:

* Support the demand planner and CIC team to ensure strong customer service, communication and delivery.

* Develop and execute strategic plans to improve productivity, quality and efficiency of operations of the professional supply chain.

* Oversee product storage and distribution working in line with the logistics manager, aligning with the Consumer SCM director to control and maintain service to the trade.

* Responsibility for the S&OP process and further developing current standards to achieve excellence in execution.

* Manage and develop and team of individuals, providing coaching and support across a variety of Supply Chain functions.

* Develop and manage dedicated projects to reduce complexity and optimise value.

* Negotiate and manage all 3PL and service contracts for the professional business-benchmarking activities against competitive set looking for possible savings.

* Monitor improvement of KPI's (CSL, SFD, inventory and logistics costs).

Skills and knowledge:

* It is beneficial each individual has a broad knowledge of P&L, balance sheet, working capital impacts and ROI.

* General knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) and good understanding of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and CRM processes.

* Knowledge of software tools, such as Outlook and Excel.

* Team building and leadership qualities.
