Teaching Personnel is searching for a number of cover supervisors in the Greater Manchester area to start from February 22nd.
The demand for supply staff from the various secondary schools we work with in Greater Manchester has never been larger due to the impacts of Covid-19, on top of general illness and holiday cover. As a result of this a number of short term and long-term cover supervisor positions are available.
The primary duty of a cover supervisor is to distribute and deliver pre-set work across multiple subjects, in line with the national curriculum. The key to being a successful cover supervisor is too manage the classroom efficiently ensuring all work is completed and keeping any behavioural issues in check. Good. You will also be required to report back to senior staff and teachers on the performance of the students.
The ideal candidate would either have experience doing cover supervision for secondary school students, graduates looking to springboard a career in teaching or retired teachers looking for flexible work. It's essential to have excellent communication, relationship building and behavioural management skills.
- Earn up to £1350 per month
- Complete flexibility to work around personal commitments
- Temp to perm opportunities available
- No additional responsibility (marking, parents evening etc)
- Work in a diverse range of schools across Greater Manchester
The role will be for immediate start, although it is subject to a DBS check, right to work UK authorisation so relevant documentation must be provided.
