Payroll Administrator
Location: Woollaston, Wellingborough
Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 DOE
Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday
 
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented and highly organised Finance Administrator to join our clients friendly and busy finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across departments. This role is heavily data entry focused and whilst payroll experience would be an advantage it is not essential, as the majority of the payroll will be data entry and collation of the data and entry into their system. However, you will need to be someone that understands the importance of accuracy and the knock on affect of a missed invoice/timesheet. 

Key Responsibilities:

Process weekly timesheets for operatives and monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Track and verify timesheets, ensuring correct job numbers and submission of all associated documentation.
Collate timesheet information for management approval, follow up on approvals, and communicate discrepancies to relevant personnel.
Attend weekly programme meetings to discuss payroll-related matters.
Coordinate with HR for new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status.
Update the HR platform with absences and holidays if missed.
Processing invoices, reconciling statements, making card payments
Provide general administrative support as required.Key Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar payroll administration role is desired 
Strong working knowledge of Sage 200 preferred
Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 Payroll preferred
High level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring payroll and the purchase ledger is processed without errors.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies efficiently.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with employees, HR, and suppliers.
Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
This role is heavily data entry focused,
