Are you an experienced and organised professional with a passion for customer service and equipment hire? We're looking for a Hire Desk Manager to lead a busy and dynamic team based in Northamptonshire.

Job Title: Hire Desk Manager 
Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 (room to negotiate regarding salary) 
Location: Rushden (Northamptonshire)
Permanent Position 
Working over a 7 day week operations, some weekends may be included. 

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the hire desk

Lead, mentor and support the hire desk team to deliver outstanding customer service

Liaise with clients and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate hire bookings

Monitor and optimise the utilisation of equipment and vehicles

Maintain accurate records of hire contracts, delivery schedules, and customer communications

Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety regulations

About You:

Previous experience in a Hire Desk or related managerial role (plant hire, tool hire, or logistics sector preferred)

Strong leadership and communication skills

Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail

Confident in using hire management software and Microsoft Office applications

Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
