Children's Home Manager

REED is currently recruiting for a passionate and experienced Children’s Home Manager to lead a residential setting dedicated to supporting children and young people with complex emotional, behavioural, and social needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed leader to make a meaningful impact and drive excellence in care delivery

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership in line with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, the nine quality standards, and Ofsted requirements.
  • Ensure the home operates in accordance with its Statement of Purpose and the organisation’s values.
  • Maintain and continuously improve high standards of care, safeguarding, and service delivery.
  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children and young people.
  • Oversee the effective administration of the home, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and other statutory requirements.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a skilled and motivated staff team, fostering a culture of professionalism and accountability.
  • Manage recruitment processes in line with Safer Recruitment practices and ensure robust induction and training.
  • Monitor staff performance through regular supervision, training, and professional development.
  • Promote inclusive, child-centred care planning through effective multi-agency collaboration.
About You:
  • Proven experience managing a children’s residential home and leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, including Children’s Homes RegulationsOfsted standards, and safeguarding protocols.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Flexible and resilient, with the ability to participate in on-call duties.
