Children's Home Manager - Location: Wimbledon

REED is currently recruiting for a passionate and experienced Children’s Home Manager to lead a residential setting dedicated to supporting children and young people with complex emotional, behavioural, and social needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed leader to make a meaningful impact and drive excellence in care delivery
Key Responsibilities: - Provide strategic and operational leadership in line with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, the nine quality standards, and Ofsted requirements.
- Ensure the home operates in accordance with its Statement of Purpose and the organisation’s values.
- Maintain and continuously improve high standards of care, safeguarding, and service delivery.
- Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children and young people.
- Oversee the effective administration of the home, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and other statutory requirements.
- Lead, manage, and develop a skilled and motivated staff team, fostering a culture of professionalism and accountability.
- Manage recruitment processes in line with Safer Recruitment practices and ensure robust induction and training.
- Monitor staff performance through regular supervision, training, and professional development.
- Promote inclusive, child-centred care planning through effective multi-agency collaboration.
About You: - Proven experience managing a children’s residential home and leading multidisciplinary teams.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, including Children’s Homes Regulations, Ofsted standards, and safeguarding protocols.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Flexible and resilient, with the ability to participate in on-call duties.
