SEN Tutor Post-16

- Rate: £30.00 - £35.00 p/hr

Are you an experienced SEN Tutor looking for part time work in and around the Haringey area? We are looking for a part-time and full-time SEN Tutor to work with a post-16 aged pupils. We are looking for an engaging SEN Tutor with experience working with students with high levels of anxiety, ASD, and ADHD. Experience supporting students with ODD is essential.

The Role:

* Provide 1:1 support and tutoring sessions to students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and mild to moderate learning difficulties.

* Tailor sessions to the individual to make sure they get the most out of the session

* Help maintain a calm, positive and supportive learning environment.

* Build strong relationships with students and staff, promoting confidence and engagement.

* Adapt quickly to new settings and routines as part of daily supply work.

What We're Looking For:

* Previous experience supporting children with SEN (2 years ideally)

* Knowledge of different SEN categories (e.g., autism, dyslexia, ADHD, speech and language needs) and how to deal with them best.

* A caring, proactive and flexible approach.

* Strong communication skills.

* Reliability and confidence

* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

* A passion for education and helping children achieve their full potential.

* A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) or relevant SEN training (e.g., SENDCO, SEN TA experience) is desirable but not essential
