Pay: Up to £25 per hour
Hours: 45 hours per week (06:00-06:30 start)
Overtime: Time + ½

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established commercial vehicle service provider in Manchester. This is a permanent opportunity offering excellent pay, performance incentives, and the chance to work in a modern, well-equipped workshop.

Our client specialises in commercial vehicle inspections, compliance checks, and maintenance support for vans and HGV fleets. With a highly experienced management team and a strong focus on delivering quality service, they support fleet operators in keeping their vehicles safe, compliant, and operating efficiently.

The Role

As an HGV Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining and repairing a range of heavy commercial vehicles while ensuring high standards of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles

* Conduct vehicle inspections and compliance checks in line with industry standards

* Diagnose faults and carry out defect rectification efficiently

* Complete job cards and service documentation accurately

* Work collaboratively with the workshop team to maintain high service standards

Requirements

* Previous experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic

* Relevant Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent experience)

* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship
