On behalf of our client, a well-established property maintenance and construction company, we are seeking a Commercial Manager to join their team in Essex.
Our client specialises in delivering responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and capital works, primarily within the social housing sector. With a strong reputation for service excellence, they work closely with Housing Associations and Local Authorities to help build sustainable communities and improve the quality of life for residents.
This is a pivotal opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager to contribute to the growth and commercial strength of a purpose-driven organisation that prioritises customer focus, community engagement, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the commercial performance of multiple contracts across repairs, maintenance, and capital works.

Lead on cost management, financial forecasting, valuations, and risk analysis.
*
Ensure contract compliance and accurate reporting of commercial performance.
*
Support the tendering process, pricing strategies, and commercial negotiations.
*
Collaborate with operational teams to ensure project delivery meets client expectations and commercial targets.
*
Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
*
Promote commercial awareness and drive continuous improvement across projects.
Candidate Profile:
*
Proven experience as a Commercial Manager in construction, property maintenance, or related sectors.
*
Sound knowledge of social housing or public sector contracting is desirable.
*
Familiarity with standard forms of contract such as JCT and NEC.
*
Strong financial acumen and experience with cost planning and budget control.
*
Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
*
A proactive and collaborative approach to achieving business objectives.
