Cover Supervisor

We are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work in a range of secondary schools across the Camden area. These opportunities include long-term placements and flexible day-to-day supply, supporting schools by supervising classes during teacher absences.

This role is ideal for a confident Cover Supervisor with strong behaviour management skills who can take control of a classroom, maintain high standards of behaviour, and ensure learning continues in the teacher's absence.

About the Role

Working as a Cover Supervisor in secondary schools across Camden

Supervising lessons during short-term and long-term teacher absence

Delivering pre-set work and ensuring students remain focused and on task

Managing classroom behaviour in line with each school's behaviour policy

Creating a calm, safe, and productive learning environment

Taking registers and reporting any issues back to teaching staff

Supporting students to complete work independently

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience working in a secondary school setting (as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or similar)

Demonstrate excellent behaviour management and classroom presence

Be confident managing challenging behaviour and maintaining boundaries

Be calm, consistent, and professional in the classroom

Be reliable, adaptable, and committed to high standards

Hold (or be willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS on the update service
