Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:15am - 5:00pm | Friday, 8:15am - 4:00pm

We are currently seeking an experienced Buyer/Planner to join our clients expanding team in Pinxton on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

* Work with Customer Service, Manufacturing, and other departments to ensure optimal material supply and maintain excellent customer service.

* Monitor raw material and finished goods stock levels, managing inventory within defined parameters.

* Oversee logistics planning, including coordination of material flow between overseas suppliers.

* Investigate and resolve issues related to stock and material control.

* Ensure high levels of service from suppliers and maintain strong supplier relationships.

* Make informed decisions independently within set authority limits concerning materials control.

* Work closely with internal teams on procurement and service provision needs.

* Raise production orders as needed and support planning activities.

* Provide costings for procurement queries and assist with purchasing decisions.

* Generate reports and statistical data as required.

* Develop and maintain detailed production plans for the manufacturing team.

Experience & Skills Required:

* A good understanding of purchasing and materials control, including Pull systems and MRP.

* Advanced computer literacy skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in telephone and written communication.

* Knowledge of import processes and documentation.

* Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

* Strong time management, planning, and organisational skills.

* Supervisory or team leadership experience is advantageous
