The Vision
We're seeking an experienced Registered Manager to play a pivotal role in opening a brand-new, 3-bed children's home for a newly established UK-based children's residential provider.
We aren't looking for someone to simply "maintain" an existing service - instead you'll be instrumental in establishing a new care provider by helping build and run the service, long-term. This is a rare opportunity to influence the design, the team, and the culture of a home before the first child even walks through the door.
Key Responsibilities
- Commissioning & Compliance: Lead the home through the final stages of Ofsted registration, ensuring all policies and environmental standards meet "Outstanding" criteria.
- Leadership & Culture: Recruit, mentor, and inspire a brand-new staff team, fostering a culture of empathy, clinical excellence, and mutual respect.
- Child-Centered Care: Develop bespoke care and support plans that prioritize the rights, voices, and individual needs of every child.
- Operational Excellence: Manage the home's budget, conduct rigorous quality audits, and maintain high-level safeguarding protocols..
Requirements
- Proven Track Record: Substantial experience managing a residential children's home (Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management is essential).
- Setup Experience: Ideally, you have experience opening a new home or taking a service through an Ofsted registration process.
- Specialist Knowledge: A deep understanding of learning disabilities, trauma-informed care, and current safeguarding legislation.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to advocate for children and lead a team through the pressures of a new startup.
