We are looking to appoint a Head of Business Studies teacher to lead our wonderful department in September 2023! This is a full-time permanent role based at our secondary school in Westminster.

The successful candidate will:

Be a fully qualified teacher with experience teaching KS4 & 5 Business Studies in a school environment
Possess the ability to lead a department
Have the ambition and drive to improve an already excellent department and Business studies curriculum
Have the ability to build strong working relationships and effectively communicate with and co-ordinate teachers in your department
Strong organisational abilities
Have a passion for business studies and educationYour duties will include:

To contribute to the development, implementation monitoring and review of the school's improvement plan to ensure all students achieve high standards and make progress
To develop and implement a vision for the Department
To collaboratively develop, implement, monitor and evaluate a Department improvement plan
Monitor students' progress and teaching standards
Plan and lead departmental meetings
Build and sustain personal credibility by teaching effectively, to a consistently high standard in all respects
Provide leadership and focus, setting the tone, ethos and, through close liaison with the Deputy Head, ensure that the highest standards of teaching and learning are consistently delivered
Create a climate which enables all staff to develop positive attitudes towards the subject and confidence in teaching itWhy Our School?
