The Role

Reporting to the Restaurant & Bar Manager, the Commis Waiter/Waitress responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following tasks and performances:

• To distribute meals and drinks to guests and to check quantities and presentation based on the order taken.
• To deliver a consistent service and exceed positive customer service at all times.
• To clear, clean and lay tables and check the state and cleanliness of crockery, cutlery and glasses.
• To ensure hotel standards of service are adhered to at all times.
• To take part in the preparation and cleaning of the restaurant/bar in a spontaneous and active basis.
• To ensure full knowledge of the menu and services available to guests, as well as collaborate and communicate with the chef to stay updated on available items.
• To adhere to all Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations as set by the company.

The successful Commis Waiter/Waitress will:

• Have previous experience in a similar role within a well-established Food & Beverage outlet, ideally within a 5-star establishment.
• Be fluent in English is essential; other languages would be of benefit.
• Be passionate about customer satisfaction and endeavour to create the perfect customer experience.
• Have excellent customer service skills.
• Have excellent grooming standards.
• Have a positive can-do attitude and excellent team player.
