EHS Manager | Cambridge moving to Northstowe at the end of 2023 | 37.5 hours per week | Up to £40,000 per annum depending on skills and experience

You will lead and coordinate the site's Environmental, Health and Safety activity across all functions whilst managing and maintaining the EHS processes and standards. You will also provide EHS Management support and guidance to the Neston office periodically as well as to a cohort of remote workers

Are you the right person for the job?

The following criteria are essential for this role

Minimum Level 6 Certificate in Applied or Occupational Health & Safety from a recognised training provider
Track record of managing EHS in a similarly sized manufacturing or industrial facility
Excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills
Proven project management experience/capability
Excellent organisational and planning skills
Relevant experience in developing and implementing EHS policies and procedures
Currently up to date on UK Health and Safety legislation and regulations
Practical experience and thorough understanding of COSHH, REACH, DSEAR and PUWER regulations
IT literate - Effective use of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote)
What will your role as an EHS Manager look like?

Leading EHS on-site and developing best in class safety culture and environmental awareness
Managing, maintaining and developing  EHS procedures and standards, ensuring that UK/EU EHS regulatory requirements are met
Providing EHS guidance and support to the Neston office and to a cohort of remote workers
As a member of the EHS community, you will conduct a minimum of one EHS audit each year at a site within your region
Implementing EHS Development path objectives and initiatives
Developing a mindset of safety prevention within the local business by promoting near misses and hazard identification
Producing safety and environmental KPIs and presenting local performance internally and to the wider business
Working with multiple groups towards meeting  sustainability targets
Using the Intelex EHS Management software platform effectively for a range of EHS tasks including risk assessment, hazard reporting, accident investigation, assessments & audits, KPI recording, and management of the site's legal register
Providing training, coaching and guidance as required to colleagues
Active partner in the NPI process (New Product Introduction)
Acting in an advisory capacity to establish safe working practices from day one
Working with other EHS Managers across the company to advance both the company and their wider EHS performance
