Teacher of English (Full-time)

A well-established and ambitious secondary school in Thurrock is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of English to join their vibrant English department from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position, ideal for an ECT or an experienced practitioner looking for a new challenge.

Salary: MPS/UPS - £30,000 to £46,525 per annum (depending on experience, outer fringe)

About the role:

Teaching English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 available for suitable candidates).

Creating dynamic and engaging lessons that promote high levels of literacy and critical thinking.

Supporting student achievement through high-quality teaching and effective feedback.

Contributing to curriculum development and enrichment activities within the department.

The ideal candidate will have:

A degree in English or a related subject.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.
