Steer Staffing are currently recruiting for 3.5 tonne Delivery Drivers, to join a distribution and delivery company based in Newark.

You will be delivering customers orders to their houses and office sites, working with a Drivers Mate to support you on all deliveries route plans are put together for your daily, and your vehicle is pre loaded each morning.

The shifts are 5 days on and 3 days off, the days will be on a rota basis, with two 30-minute breaks, morning, and afternoon.

The duties of the 3.5 tonne Delivery Driver include:

* Driving a 3.5 ton vehicle on a daily basis

* Working with a drivers mate

* Delivering customers orders to their homes and offices

* Lifting heavy items and completing a multi-drop driving role

* Ensuring the right products get to the right places at the right time

* Following a delivery route, which is pre planned for you

* Pre calling customers before arrival

* Filling in paperwork as and when required

* Removing all packaging from each delivery

The ideal 3.5 tonne Delivery Driver will have:

* Experience within a similar role

* A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points

* The ability to handle heavy goods

* A clean DBS

The hours of work for the 3.5 tonne Delivery Driver are 5 days on 3 days off, the working days cover any 5 over Monday - Sunday, you must be available to work between the hours of 7.00am - 6.15pm.

The salary for the 3.5 tonne Delivery Driver will be £13.17 per hour, on a 12-week temp to perm basis. Any hours over 45 will be paid at time and a half.
