Teaching Assistant (Behaviour Support) - Multiple Positions Available

We are seeking several Teaching Assistants with a strong focus on Behaviour Support to join our dedicated team. Our setting provides a safe, nurturing and highly supportive environment where pupils with a range of SEMH needs are encouraged to grow in confidence, independence and emotional regulation.

About the Role

As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, you will:

Work closely with teachers, support staff and senior leaders to provide tailored support for pupils with SEMH needs.

Build positive, trusting relationships to help pupils feel safe, understood and ready to learn.

Contribute to individual behaviour plans, implementing consistent strategies and interventions.

Support pupils in managing their emotions, developing resilience and improving engagement in lessons.

Encourage positive behaviour through de-escalation, restorative approaches and proactive support.

Assist with academic learning, adapting tasks to meet individual needs.

Create a calm, structured and supportive environment across the school day.

What We're Looking For

We welcome applicants with experience in:

Supporting children with challenging behaviour or SEMH needs

Working in schools, specialist provisions, youth work or similar settings

De-escalation strategies, trauma-informed practice or therapeutic approaches

Building meaningful relationships with pupils who may have experienced difficulty in previous educational placements

Most importantly, you will bring:

Patience, empathy and emotional resilience

A positive, proactive attitude

The ability to stay calm under pressure

A genuine belief that every child can succeed
