The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of advanced electrical systems. You will contribute to technical design, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and support teams.
Key responsibilities include:
* Reviewing design specifications and supporting material selection and technical evaluation.
* Conducting design calculations and producing manufacturing documentation such as resistor element and design summary sheets.
* Creating, reviewing, and approving drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and other essential design files.
* Leading investigations into technical issues, refining design processes, and performing root cause analyses.
* Collaborating with Production, Sales, and Customer Service teams to provide expert technical support.
* Managing multiple design projects to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
* Applying relevant electrical engineering principles and ensuring compliance with IEC standards and safety regulations.
The Individual
We're looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
* Strong experience in electrical design, ideally with medium- to high-voltage systems.
* A degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
* Familiarity with IEC 60204 and IEC 61439, and experience with CE marking and DFMEA.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical; experience with Inventor, Creo, or Siemens NX is a plus.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
* A proactive, detail-focused mindset with a passion for technical excellence and continuous improvement.
