Estimator - Residential Construction - Ascot

Location: Ascot (projects in Virginia Water, Windlesham, Sunningdale, and nearby areas)
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (or equivalent day rate - freelance considered) + company car, bonus
Role Type: Full-Time | Permanent or Freelance

A highly respected, family-run residential developer is currently seeking an Estimator join their small but ambitious team. With a turnover of around £4M and a track record of delivering bespoke homes and high-end one-off builds, they offer a unique opportunity for a capable and detail-driven Estimator to make a real impact.

This role is ideally suited to an Estimator who is confident pricing projects ranging from £250K to £3M+, comfortable wearing multiple hats, and looking for something more personal than the typical corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Estimator:

* Produce accurate and detailed estimates for residential new builds and high-end refurbishments

* Manage procurement and supplier relationships

* Handle subcontractor quotes, comparisons, and cost control

* Work closely with project managers and directors to maintain budgets and ensure financial transparency

* Create and maintain cost plans, tender submissions, and schedules

* Contribute to planning and contractual administration in your Estimator role

The Ideal Estimator Will:

* Have at least 5 years of experience in residential construction (desirable, but not essential)

* Be confident in both estimating and traditional cost control responsibilities

* Enjoy working in a small, hands-on team where versatility is key

* Be local to Ascot or surrounding areas

* Have strong knowledge of UK construction methods, contracts (e.g. JCT), and cost planning software
