About the Role:
As an Early Years Support Assistant at Glenesk School, you will play a vital role in supporting a child's learning, welfare, and personal development. Working closely with the Class Teacher and SENDCo, you will provide dedicated 1:1 support, helping the child access the Early Years curriculum and overcome daily challenges. Your responsibilities will include assisting with classroom activities, promoting positive behaviour, and ensuring the child's safety and well-being throughout the school day. You will also liaise with parents and professionals, maintain accurate records, and contribute to the wider life of the school.
This is a part-time, 0.49 FTE, fixed-term contract position until July 2026.

Who We Are Looking For:
You are passionate about early childhood education and committed to creating an inclusive, nurturing environment. You have a good understanding of child development and safeguarding, and you can adapt activities to meet individual needs. Ideally, you hold a relevant childcare or education qualification and have experience working with young children, either professionally or voluntarily. You are patient, proactive, and able to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues. If you are enthusiastic about supporting children to thrive and eager to develop your skills through training, we would love to hear from you.
