About theProject Engineer role: 

As our Project Engineer, you will be reporting to the Engineering Lead, you will play a key role in the development and delivery of the capital plan on site. This highly rewarding role offers the chance to get involved in a wide variety of projects and implement significant changes to the business.

Our Operations division is key to the identification and implementation of capital investment projects. You'll have the opportunity to utilise a broad range of engineering disciplines and interact with all areas of the business.

The key responsibilities of our Project Engineer will include:

  • Identifiying, implementing and delivering of capital investment projects on time and within budget
  • Negotiating with suppliers to obtain the optimum service for SC Johnson
  • Managing contractors to ensure the highest safety standards are maintained
  • Leading improvement activities and the development of the skill base within manufacturing facility
  • Ensuring that all Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to at all times.

Previous experience / knowledge required of our Project Engineer:

  • Minimum of HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience of working in an Engineering role
  • Experience of working in a FMCG environment

Competencies, behaviors and aptitudes required of our Project Engineer:

  • Self-motivated to drive progression along challenging timelines
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams at the same time, unphased by change in a dynamic manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication skills
